As a Beauty photographer, I get all excited about gorgeous dresses, runway walks, and glammed up girls.
So when I found out my friends at Brodeur Carvell at Bell Tower Shops were having a fashion show, I couldn't wait to get involved!
This year Brodeur Carvell is celebrating 10 years. Congrats, BC! They're showing their love for the community and all things fashion by hosting the third Annual Stars Under the Stars fashion show. Proceeds will benefit the Golisano Children's Hospital of Southwest Florida. Love that!
I wanted to support the cause and give you a sneak peek at some of the hottest Brodeur Carvell fashions with my own Beauty photography spin. So with a little help from the fashion gurus (thanks Rob and Marija!) the beauty queen of Tickled Pink Artistry (hi, Brittany!), and the sophisticated furnishings of J Mark Modern Home Designs (Mark, you're awesome!) we made a dream shoot for one lucky lady.
If you've been hanging around at Megan DiPiero Photography, you know I love to photograph real women and show them just how gorgeous they are.
Could I work with a model? Sure! But it's just so much more satisfying to transform regular women like you and me.
Now... who to choose?
I bumped into Katerine months ago at Target shopping for false eyelashes. When I saw her hair I almost gasped. Incredible isn't it? I figured anyone shopping for false eyelashes was my kinda girl, so I struck up a conversation and stashed Katerine's number in my iPhone for a rainy day.
Brittany Myzeqari (Tickled Pink Artistry) working her magic.
From my shopping experience, I know that Brodeur Carvell is modern, unique and fun to wear. When Katerine came to mind as my soon-to-be model, I had a good feeling she could rock these looks. How do you think she did?
So many fun fashions-- I'd be hard pressed to pick just one favorite. I'm leaning towards this black and nude dress (below) as my top choice cause I just love the swish of the skirt and the tastefully provocative color combo.
I always tell my clients to look for form-fitting, solid color clothes for their Beauty shoots. And don't forget to add some visual interest by picking out interesting textures. (Metal details-- my personal fave.) When Marija showed me this new number straight from Italy, it was love at first sight. A little bit rocker, a lotta bit luxe. Yet, even with an outfit this hot, Katerine's eyes still steal the show.
Don't forget to bring style right down to your toes, ladies. Snakeskin print purple peekaboo heels? Yes please!
Totally unique, modern home furnishings for this shoot provided by J Mark Designs. Gorgeous!
Finally, you know me... I just can't resist photographing faces. The next image was made even more captivating by a stunning necklace courtesy of you-know-who... Brodeur Carvell.
I wish Brodeur Carvell much success at their amazing fashion show this Tuesday, November 5th at Bell Tower Shops, Fort Myers. You'll see me there at the portrait booth and front row photographing the models as they come down the runway.
There are still a few VIP tickets left, so grab yours and come on down and see me and the Brodeur Carvell crew.
You'll love these fashions up close and personal and it will do your heart good to support Lee Memorial Health System and the Golisano Children's Hospital.
Katerine, thank you for taking this modeling adventure with me. I'll bet no one will believe this is your first ever modeling gig. You made this shoot a pleasure from start to finish. I hope you felt every bit as incredible as you looked. You rock!
