Actor Headshots Thrill Me

In another life I was an actor. Well, it wasn't THAT long ago actually.  I studied theater in high school and college and have been enamored with stage and film acting ever since.

There's just so much magic in a darkened theater!   It thrills me!

These days I set down the script and pick up my camera instead.  I'm all charged up to steer my creative flow towards making dynamic actor headshots.  I know that when I deliver MY best work, I'm giving actors the shot to deliver THEIR best work.

Introducing Michele.  Michele is a big city girl currently settled down in Southwest Florida.  She's got experience, personality, drive and ambition.

Michele thought her recent move might dampen her fire but that inner spark just won't be doused.  A hike across alligator alley to the acting hub in Miami is no obstacle for Michele.

Michele taught me a great trick that you may want to use on your next headshot session.

When gazing at the camera, use a little self-talk in your head to bring out your best expression.  Practice it in the mirror and see what comes up.  I'll let you borrow my mantras:

Repeat after me... I am rad.  I am gorgeous.  You can't wait to hire me!

Michele had so many wonderful expressions.  When my camera went up, she was on!  With the help of lovely Brittany Myzeqari (assistant extraordinaire and hair & makeup guru at Tickled Pink Artistry), we made the most of a variety of locations and hair and makeup looks all while having a ton of fun.

Michele, I wish you all the best in your acting endeavors down here in sunny Florida.  You are a knockout in front of the camera!  I hope that your charisma, passion and fun take you far.  You deserve it!
